MY STRATEGY FOR UPSC CSE

MINIMAL RESOURCES TO FOLLOW (references other than ncerts) [Note:   Reference books are not absolutely necessary to read from exam point of view. But, if you are seeking more understanding and knowledge, and have the required time and energy, they are worth reading.] Books (importance wise) 1. Modern History - Spectrum (by Rajiv Ahir) 2. Economy - Ramesh Singh 3. Geography - GC leong 4. Polity - Laxmikant (used for basics but ncerts are also sufficient) 5. Culture - Nitin Singhania (this section not very high yielding- Artika shukla) 6. Ethics - Lexicon (not compulsorily necessary to read)  Ancient & Medieval (not so imp., did not prepare well- Artika Shukla) Environment - Shankar IAS For Essay - Quotes of imp personalities (Gandhi, Mandel, Luther King)
